Daft Punk y Macklemore & Ryan Lewis empatan a 4 triunfos en los Grammy

El grupo de música electrónica Daft Punk y el dúo de rap Macklemore & Ryan Lewis recibieron hoy 4 gramófonos dorados cada uno en la 56 edición de los premios Grammy en una ceremonia organizada por la Academia de la Grabación de EE.UU. y celebrada en Los Ángeles.

Daft Punk se impuso en las categorías principales de mejor álbum ( Random Access Memories) y mejor grabación del año ( Get Lucky), mejor actuación pop de un dúo o grupo ( Get Lucky) y mejor disco de música electrónica o dance ( Random Access Memories). Hubo otro galardón más, mejor ingeniería, aunque técnicamente (con perdón) el premio fue para los técnicos, no para los artistas.

Hipsters, blancos y raperos

Por su parte, los de Seattle Macklemore & Ryan Lewis se proclamaron mejor artista novel y arrasaron en las categorías de rap, donde su The Heist fue elegido mejor álbum y su tema Thrift Shop fue nombrado mejor canción y mejor actuación del género.La elección no ha sido bien recibida entre los fanáticos del género, que consideran que Good Kid Maad City de Kendrick Lamar debería haber sido disco del año y New Slaves de Kanye West, la mejor canción.

La ciclotímica neozelandesa Lorde se llevó el premio de mejor canción (composición) del año por y el de mejor actuación pop solista por Royals. Justin Timberlake recibió premios a la mejor canción R&B por Pusher Love Girl y al mejor video por Suit & Tie. Su colaboración con Jay Z también se llevó el premio al mejor duo, pero el de mejor disco R&B fue a parar a la veterana Alicia Keys por Girl on Fire.

Entre los indies, Vampire Weekend ganó en la categoría de Mejor disco alternativo por Modern Vampires Of The City; el mejor directo fue para Imagine Dragons.El mejor disco folk ha sido My Favorite Picture Of You, de Guy Clark.

En las categorías latinas destacó Draco Rosa y su Vida como mejor álbum pop y el cuarteto La Santa Cecilia, que se impuso como mejor disco de rock, música alternativa o urbana con Treinta Días.
