'Juego de Tronos' y 'The People v. OJ Simpson' triunfan en los Critics' Choice Awards
Los críticos televisivos y cinematográficos estadounidenses han concedido, la noche de este domingo, los XXII Critics' Choice Awards. Y en ámbito televisivo, la serie 'Juego de Tronos' y los actores Bob Odenkirk y Evan Rachel Wood fueron los grandes triunfadores.
La ficción de HBO se alzó con el premio a la mejor serie dramática, mientras los protagonistas de 'Better Call Saul' y de 'Westworld' se llevaron respectivamente los de mejor actor y actriz de drama, en una gala conducida por el cómico T.J. Miller, que evitó hablar de su reciente arresto por agredir a un conductor de Uber.
El premio a 'Juego de Tronos' fue presentado por la actriz de 'The Big Bang Theory' Kaley Cuoco, y ella misma se encargó de recogerlo, aunque sucedió algo curioso. Kristian Nairn, el actor que interpreta a Hodor en la serie, ejercía de DJ en la gala, por lo que acabaron entregándole el premio a él.
Thandie Newton (de 'Westworld') y John Lithgow (de 'The Crown') se alzaron con los galardones a los mejores actriz y actor de reparto en serie de drama, respectivamente.
En comedia triunfa 'Silicon Valley'
'Silicon Valley' se llevó el gato al agua como mejor serie de comedia. El mejor actor protagonista fue Donald Glover por 'Atlanta', y la mejor actriz protagonista de comedia recayó en Kate McKinnon por 'Saturday Night Live'.
Louie Anderson (de 'Baskets') y Jane Krakowski (de 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt') se alzaron con los galardones a los mejores actriz y actor de reparto en serie de comedia, respectivamente.
'The People v. OJ Simpson' arrasa en las TV-movies
La categoría más clara fue la de las TV-Movies, en la que 'The People v. OJ Simpson' dominó sin conceder ni una fisura a sus rivales.
Además del premio a la mejor película televisiva o miniserie, también se llevó el de mejor actriz para Sarah Paulson y mejor actor para Courtney B. Vance, haciendo pleno. También el de mejor actor de reparto a Sterling K. Brown, y sólo Regina King (de 'American Crime') les arrebató el de mejor actriz de reparto.

En el apartado de cine, la película 'La La Land' comenzó a demostrar su favoritismo para los Oscar alzándose con 8 de los 12 Critics' Choice Awards a los que aspiraba.
El largometraje dirigido por Damien Chazelle, y protagonizado por Emma Stone y Ryan Gosling, se llevó los premios a Mejor Película, Director, Guión Original, Fotografía, Diseño de Producción, Edición, Banda Sonora y Canción.
