Bruce Springsteen lanza una canción contra Trump y el ICE: “Recordaremos los nombres de los que murieron en las calles de Minneapolis”
“Through the winter’s ice and cold / Down Nicollet Avenue / A city aflame fought fire and ice” [“A través del hielo y el frío del invierno / Por la avenida Nicollet / Una ciudad en llamas luchó contra el fuego y el ICE”]. Son los primeros versos de Streets Of Minneapolis, la canción que ha lanzado Bruce Springsteen este miércoles contra Donald Trump y los asesinatos del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE, por sus siglas en inglés).
“Escribí esta canción el sábado, la grabé ayer y la lanzo hoy en respuesta al terror estatal que se está viviendo en la ciudad de Minneapolis”, ha escrito el cantante estadounidense en un post en la red social Bluesky. “Está dedicada a la gente de Minneapolis, a nuestro vecinos inmigrantes inocentes y en memoria de Alex Pretti y Renee Good”.
No es la primera vez que Springsteen arremete contra Trump y el ICE. El pasado 19 de enero, durante una actuación sorpresa en el festival de inviero Light Of Day, en Nueva Jersey, el cantante acusó a la Administración estadounidense de utilizar “tácticas de la Gestapo contra nuestros conciudadanos”. “Como ha dicho el alcalde de esa ciudad [en referencia a Minneapolis], ICE debería irse de una puta vez”.
En el festival, Springsteen dedicó su canción The Primsed Land a la memoria de Renee Good.
